The Story Behind PropsCover

"PropsCover was born out of frustration!"

It all began when we started a cloud consulting company a few years ago and had to send multiple proposals to prospective clients every day. I soon found myself wasting countless hours digging through old templates, messages, emails, cover letters and networking scripts scattered across dozens of online tools. A lot of content was no longer accessible once it was sent. None of the available tools met our needs, and I was missing so many opportunities due to writing fatigue.

"Desperate need for a clean habit!"

While sending daily proposals and monitoring our conversions, I picked up a few helpful habits−

  • Good old human touch is faster than prompt engineering and effective than automated content.
  • Every letter needs to be personalized with a warm note.
  • There are certain building blocks to a letter that often repeat in different flavours.
  • Need to save those good letters and the building blocks in one place before sending, like templates.
  • Investing a few seconds naming, tagging, and categorizing the letters helps a ton in the future.

"A No-Nonsense solution is born!"

Created a simple website for personal use. Goal was to divide the screen into two halves. The Left half for all the templates and the Right half for writing final letter from those templates. Down the line we realized that AI is helpful with recommendations, thus PropsGuru AI was created. What started as a personal project has now grown into a rewarding bookmark in the Internet Browser of networking professionals worldwide. It's built on the idea that proposal writing shouldn’t be complicated – it should be an empowering process that lets you focus on what matters most: Quick Edit and Send.
